It is a complete remake of the 2001 PC video game of the same name. I can't find any details on what else this patch may have though. They need to adjust it to not dump the autosave when a new manual save exists as sometimes that manual save may be further ahead but you may have wasted resources on an encounter and would benefit from rolling back to an autosave and trying again.
Thee problem with that now is that if you have made a manual save and you would like the option to roll back to the previous auto-save it will no longer exist (at least for me). If your manual save is more recent you can access it but ONLY from the load option at the start screen.Īfter you install the update from last night the system will allow you to continue from the main menu or in the event of death it load the most recent save file automatically. The problem with that is that if you have not reached an autosave saved since you created your last manual save you're loaded up in the wrong spot with the game loading your autosave which may be older than your manual save. As far as I can tell without the new patch installed what the game does is it uses the autosave as the basis for what it loads when you select continue at the main screen or when you have died.
